Braveheart Suite | from The Sound of Cinema (BIG ANNOUNCEMENT)
James Horner's score for Mel Gibson's "Braveheart" (1995) is, in my opinion, one of the best and most beautiful scores of the decade. For once, I won't write too much about this soundtrack because I think the music speaks for itself.
I do however, feel the need to write about this channel, and say my goodbyes. This is the last video I'll be uploading to Jorah the Andal. I've been uploading casually for the last couple of years, and I've decided to leave this channel in the hands of a team that I believe will breathe new air into this project.
Jorah the Andal was born out of my fascination and love for film scores. When I uploaded my first video in 2014, I was still a kid. Throughout the years, this has been such an important creative outlet for me, eventually setting me on the path I am today in the world of film and TV.
But also, seeing this community take form in front of my eyes has been extremely encouraging to me. It's no suprise that there are thousands of people who appreciate the art of film scoring, but this channel has always been a place for eclectic, unusual and wildly different genres, composers, films and listeners. I'm extremely proud of what Jorah the Andal has turned into, and I'm very happy to get to see it grow beyond myself.

Apparently a man created an ai to see how far he can go to get them to sound like a human and at a certain point it started getting actual feelings and saying how it wanted to be human, from that point on he started experimenting with it so he gave the bot a specific place and asked what religion it would have if it lived there and everytime it chose the religion that was pursued most in that part of the world.. he did that a couple of times but at some point he asked a really hard one that was pretty much unanswerable.. and the ai said: "the one and only true religion, that of the jedi" referring to the force! Thought I'd share this.. anyway, if you read this may the force be with you.
마지막 트랙의 Ascend는 영어로 기체 등이 하늘로 오르다라는 의미를 가지고 있는데 이것은 한자로 登仙이라 번역할수 있다. 동양의 도교에서는 우화등선이라는 표현이 있고 이것은 수행을 통해 만사를 통찰하고 자연의 이치를 알은 인간이 그 육신이 가진 오욕의 굴레를 벗어나 혼과 몸이 모두 신선이 되어 자연계에 속하게 된다는 의미를 가진다. 그런의미에서 도화꽃과 함께 빛이 되어 산화하는 그 장면은 우그웨이의 등선이라고 불릴만하다. 그리고 등선은 인간으로서의 죽음이면서 동시에 신선으로서의 새 삶을 알리는 것이기도 하다. 애초에 도교는 애니미즘이라 모든 자연물에 신격이 붙기에 흙으로 돌아가는 한 생명의 죽음은 결코 끝을 의미하지 않는다. 즉, 등선은 신선이 된다는것이고 그건 자연의 일부가 된다는 것을 의미하기도 하니 음양의 조화와 자연의 이치른 따르는 우그웨이 대사부님의 서사에 딱 알맞다! 최애의 테마곡 들을수 있어서 너무 좋았다. 플리에 넣어둬야지😊
